It's simple: Free Forever is designed for small teams and startups. The biggest limitation of the Free Forever plan is the 5 kudos per company per week.

Once you hit 5 kudos sent (e.g., 1 person sends five kudos or 5 people each send one kudos.), no more kudos can be sent - halting all the recognition and good vibes.

So if you expect your company to send more than 5 kudos per week, then you'll want to look at the Pro plan. In the Pro plan, you'll get unlimited kudos, company values (i.e., custom kudos), gift card rewards, custom company rewards store, analytics, and much more!

However, if you're primarily looking to automatically celebrate birthdays and work anniversaries for an unlimited number of team members, then the Free Forever plan may be more suitable for your needs.
